Scottish Whisky Trail - Perthshire
Scotland has a vast range of whisky distilleries producing it's national drink. Perthshire has both the smallest and oldest distilleries in Scotland. The trail includes the distilleries in Aberfeldy, Crieff and Pitlochry. They are almost all situated near some the best water supplies to be found in the world. Some are crystal clear rivers while others are rich and peaty all of which affect the body and flavour of the whisky itself. The distilleries that can be found in Perthshire are:
Aberfeldy Dewars Distillery
Blair Athol Distillery
Dalwhinnie Distillery
Edradour Distillery - the smallest distillery
Glenturret Distillery - the oldest distillery
Tullibardine Distillery
