Aberdeen
Aberdeen, which is the third largest city in Scotland, is also known
as the Granite City due to the number of beautiful buildings made from this local stone. It is
a cosmopolitan city on the north east coast looking out over the North Sea. There are many attractions
for the tourist and visitor including museums, parks, harbours, events and festivals.
Aberdeen
Art Gallery which was built in 1885 is a fantastic, marble lined building housing modern
art, work by the Impressionists and the Scottish Colourists, contemporary craft, Aberdeen silver
and a wide range of decorative art.

Provost Skene's House is an elegant 16th century town house that contains an attractive series
of period room settings, recalling the graceful furnishings of earlier times. The displays include
a suite of 17th century rooms, a Regency Parlour and an Edwardian Nursery.

Aberdeen Maritime Museum tells the story of the city's long relationship with the Sea. This award-winning
museum houses a unique collection covering shipbuilding, fast sailing ships, fishing and port history,
and is the only place in the UK where you can see displays on the North Sea oil industry. Aberdeen
Maritime Museum also offers a spectacular viewpoint over the busy harbour.
