2nd Jun - Glenfarg Village Folk Club - Frank McLaughlin and Mick West - A first visit to Glenfarg by highly regarded Scots singer Mick West who has been described by Scotland on Sunday as 'One of Scotland’s most lyrical folksong exponents'. He’ll be joined by very fine guitarist Frank McLaughlin. Look forward to some great songs tonight.

4th - 6th Jun - Pete Clark - Short Fiddle Course - short fiddle courses during the Spring of 2008 at the Taybank, Dunkeld. Two and a half days improving your fiddle playing in the beautiful surroundings of Dunkeld. From Wednesday - Friday lunchtime. Starting at 10am on the Wednesday, each day will consist of 4 x 1-hour lessons (2 x 1-hour on the Friday). Ian is a big man with a big voice to match. His reputation is deservedly growing fast on both sides of the Atlantic and all goes predictably well for one who is amongst Britain's most talented singer / songwriters.

12th Jun - Star Folk Club(Glasgow) - Sylvia Barnes with Sandy Stanage - £7/£5(concession) - Winner of "Scots Singer of the Year" at the 2006 Scots Trad Music Awards, Sylvia's pedigree in traditional music is a long and distinguished one. Sandy is considered one of Scotland's finest guitar players.

16th Jun - Glenfarg Village Folk Club - John Wright’s Band - Pete Abbott, excellent singer / songwriter and superb guitarist; Greg Borland, a truly brilliant fiddler and bass player: and diatonic harmonica player Fraser Speirs make up the band. For several years they were associated with the late John Wright who sang and recorded a number of songs written by Pete Abbott. Pete and the band will be performing some of these songs tonight in tribute to John, as well as presenting their own material. Please come along early to be sure of a seat.

20th - 22nd Jun - Mugdock International Music Festival - Mugdock Country Park, Milngavie, just North of Glasgow - the first Mugdock International Music Festival took place in 2007 and was enjoyed by over 2000 people over 3 nights and 2 days. It involved over 100 artists from as far away as Venezuela and as close as Milngavie and the rare mix of musicians, singers and dancers from such a variety of backgrounds and cultures made this festival unique. Guests include Michael Marra, Cross Border Band and The Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

20th Jun - Rolling Hills Folk Club - Melrose - Singers’ night

20th Jun - Haddington Folk Club - Jez Lowe - a long awaited return visit from Jez Lowe brought in a capacity audience. Jez’s acoustic sets suited our small venue and created a more intimate setting for his songs, rarely attained when using PA.
