Mother and son duo Sarah & Kieron sing American traditional and contemporary songs. Sarah’s powerful but sweet voice is enhanced by her own frailing 5 string banjo style and beautiful songs. Keiron’s voice is described as high and lonesome. He also provides skilful guitar accompaniment.

8th Apr - Penicuik Folk Club - Sheena Wellington
Born in Dundee into a family of singers who gave her many songs and ballads which she sings today, Sheena Wellington`s status as one of the country`s leading traditional singers owes much to her roots. She now broadcasts frequently for the BBC and is in demand as lecturer, writer, song teacher and consultant on traditional music. Her recordings and her live album have received widespread international acclaim. Sheena was appointed Traditional Arts Development Officer for Fife Council in December 1997, the first post of its kind in Scotland. When Scotland`s parliament was reconvened after 292 long years in July 1999, Sheena`s singing at the opening ceremony of "A Man`s A Man For A` That" - Robert Burns` great hymn to liberty, equality and fraternity - was widely and popularly acclaimed as the highlight of the entire joyful day of celebrations in the capital, Edinburgh.

9th - 11th Apr - Pete Clark - Short Fiddle Course - short fiddle courses during the Spring of 2008 at the Taybank, Dunkeld. Two and a half days improving your fiddle playing in the beautiful surroundings of Dunkeld. From Wednesday - Friday lunchtime. Starting at 10am on the Wednesday, each day will consist of 4 x 1-hour lessons (2 x 1-hour on the Friday).
