TMSA - Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland - the TMSA was established in 1966 to promote, present and preserve the traditional music and song heritage of Scotland. It is the oldest (by nearly 20 years) individual membership organisation associated with traditional music and song and will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2006. There are currently over 1000 members.

Nigel Gatherer - Nigel Gatherer's Traditional Music Pages are intended to provide a resource for lovers of all kinds of traditional and folk music, although the site is heavily weighted towards Nigel's particular passion, Scottish music. This is a superb site giving endless information and tutorials.

Taigh na Teud  - we have Scottish music books for fiddle, harp, bagpipes and many other traditional instruments, traditional song books, albums and DVDs.

The Kilrymont Ceilidh Band is a student ceilidh band based in St Andrews. We play for hall balls, regular ceilidhs and any event needing Irish and Scottish folk dancing music. Run by pro-active folk music lovers, the band is always looking for new tunes to play and add to their growing repertoire.

Tarneybackle is one of Perthshire and Scotland's popular folk groups, performing a wide range of traditional and contemporary folk music.

The Taybank - Dunkeld - Situated on the banks of the beautifull river Tay. Previously owned by local singer songwriter and composer, the internationally acclaimed Dougie MacLean and his wife Jennifer, The Taybank is now owned by Nigel and Beverley Large. Described as "Scotland's Musical Meeting Place" it is a centre for Scottish Music and Culture with instrumental classes, concerts and spontaneous music sessions.

BBC - Scotland's music on TV and radio past and present

The Living Tradition is a full colour, bi-monthly Folk & Traditional music magazine that has been in publication for over 14 years. The main aim of the magazine is to highlight the rich heritage of traditional music in the British Isles and further afield, and attempt to bring it to a wider audience.

Stoneyport Associates represents the very cream of the Celtic music world, taking in a bit of Blues, Jazz and Country along the way.

Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop, founded in November 2002, teaches traditional fiddle, and offers traditional music concerts, and arts, crafts and author events, not just to its own tiny Scottish west coast community, but also to residents and tourists across Cowal and Argyll.

Bagpipe Music - The Weavers of the Tartan is a bagpipe band playing traditional Scottish songs with contemporary appeal. Download free bagpipe mp3's.

Tony Dixon Music - Devon is the home of Tony Dixon who has been making flutes, pipes and whistles for many years. An accomplished player of all three instruments, he doesn't let an instrument out of his workshop that he wouldn't be happy to play himself. A more recent and, as it turns out, very popular innovation is the ‘Duo’ instrument with one body and two heads! This allows a quick change from flute or piccolo to high or low whistle using the same body.
