Edinburgh Shetland Fiddlers' Society

Edinburgh Shetland Fiddlers SocietyThe Edinburgh Shetland Fiddlers Society meet twice a month. The meetings are not held every fortnight. Instead, they are held on the first and third Sundays of each month. We would like to encourage old and new friends, especially those visiting Edinburgh on holiday to pop in to our sessions and share our passion for Shetland music.

Edinburgh Shetland Fiddlers SocietyThe meetings are held in the Royal Scots Club, 29 Abercrombie Place, Edinburgh EH3 6QE . That puts it about 5 minutes' walk north of the city centre, just off Dundas Street.

Edinburgh Shetland Fiddlers SocietyWe are not a music class. We regard ourselves as a social group where all levels of musical skill are accepted. We only accept members in the age range 4 - 90 years old. Although our title includes the word "fiddlers", we are players of a rich variety of instruments. These include keyboard, recorders of various lengths, cello, guitar and concertina. We have had welcome visits from players of instruments that are more exotic.

Hope to see you there.
