Meiklour Beech Hedge
The
Meiklour Beech Hedge can be found north-east of Perth,
on the A93 to Blairgowrie, It is credited by the Guinness Book of Records as being the largest
hedge in the world, measuring one third of a mile long, and 120 feet (36 m) high. The hedge was
planted in 1745, the same year as the last Jacobite uprising.
