Huntingtower
Castle
Also known as The House of Ruthven, Huntingtower Castle comprises
two fine and complete tower houses which were linked in the 17th century. The hall of the eastern
tower has a fine painted ceiling. It has over the years been home to the Ruthven and the the
Murray families. The property became unoccupied in the mid-1700's and it's main inhabitants are
now a well known colony of pipistrelle bats.
Just west of Perth off the A85 to Crieff.
