About Us
After spending many years participating in the "rat race", Deirdre as a customer services manager and Alan as an IT manager, we decided that there must be more to life than spending hours each day commuting back and forth on the M8 and working all sorts of hours for someone else.
We spent much of our spare time up in Highland Perthshire and this seemed to be the obvious place for us to start our new life. We gave up our jobs, sold our house and bought a coffee shop in Dunkeld. After spending a very successful and happy two and a half years there learning about the ups and downs of a coffee shop business we decided it was time for a change. Aberfeldy had always been a favourite stop off point for us and when the opportunity arose we were delighted to move up here and set up home and The Quaich Coffee Shop.
We pride ourselves on having a relaxed, happy and welcoming coffee shop where people can come in and chill out and have a chat or read the local newspaper or magazines while having a coffee and snack or cake. We are always happy to welcome customers old and new, so please come in and see us any time you are in Aberfeldy.
